I had a gerbil break his leg once. The best I could tell, he got his foot caught in the mesh bottom of the cage. Poor little guy was already dead when I found him. Looking on the bright side, he'd had a fairly long and happy life, at least by gerbil standards.; July 1, 2011 10:02 AM
