I want to make the point that I pictured Hamleto taking a bath with water ONLY for the sake of the joke.
NEVER ever bathe your hamster with water, because s/he can easily get sick and eventually die.
If you want to keep your hamster clean, remember to clean his/her cage once every week. And if you want keep their fur clean, give them chinchilla sand.
Sorry about being so harsh and annoying, but I think this is worth saying it <:-)

Haha. Hamelto become so sticky. How on earth is he going to take off all the sand!
I so want to give my hamster a duct bath but i don't have the money for it, I imagine she would like it quite a bit
hahaha! It made me think of how when I was 5 my mother used to say, "If you don't sleep now, the sand monster will get you!" and I would be scared silly. I guess Hamleto would be a miniature, hamster baby version. Now when my mother tells me that I'll be like, "Hey, I'm Primary five, not five years old!"
P.S. Actually there's sand made specially for hamsters. chinchilla sand would be too small and sort of dust-like so it wouldn't be suitable for the hamsters cos their respiratory systems are really delicate.
P.P.S. Now I have an image of Hamleto towelling himself off... and he will end up with his fur puffed up like he just went beserk. Or, in his words, like Orazio's normal everyday bad fur day.

Well, not every hamsters enjoy sand bath. And it is not really so necessary, as long as their cage is kept clean :-)

I didn't know about the chinchilla sand either. Well, I must say it's very difficult to find out which kind of stuff works well for hamsters and which don't. I still have doubt about the best kind of litter <:-)
omg i <3 hamleto! he is so frekin adorable! i have a hamster and i named him twinkie!!! i come and check every week for the new cartoons and they are always so amazing! i like the one with the seasaw! but yeah just keep on goin cuz he is so C-U-T-E!!

And yeah it's bad to bath them in water, when we didn't have the internet back then I used to do it x.x Thanks to my dad.
Now I keep my hamsters away from water, except for their water bottle, haha!

Oh, I remember the chinchilla sand, saw in a pet shop... =D Hamsters have a soft and delicate fur like the chinchillas, the kind of fur that gets soaked. Good advice, yours!

i give my hamster scoodles a water bath every once in a while. shes still alive.
